Margarita bar
I set up this fun margarita bar for my hubby's 40th birthday bash this weekend! I commissioned this painting from Chandler artist Kathleen Escobedo. We based the design on the skull art on Dia De Los Muertos. The skull in the painting represents my husband, with the ASU pitchfork, the eyes are the logo of his favorite band, the spade for the nose represents his love of cards with a heart, diamond & club around it as well. Below in the cards is me, the queen on hearts, Jake & his computer, Evan in his jersey with a basketball and the remaining cards have a 40 for his 40th birthday. He loves cigars so of course we had to add that & with in the cigar smoke is his favorite saying "here's to life" which is from his favorite song! He loved the painting and all the thought that went into it. It was a wonderful way to personalize his special day!

Mexican Moonshine
We had friends over this weekend for a little Mexican Moonshine fiesta...featuring azul margaritas
& Midori margaritas
I set up a Margarita bar for all of our guests
for glasses, I bought pint size mason jars & wrapped them in Mexican lace
blue for the boys, pink for us girls & dressed the tequila with a mexican tassle
Our decanter was filled with margarita mix and used Spanish glass bottles for the Midori, Blue Curacao, Pomegranate & Grand Marnier
& hung papel picado from our ceiling for a little atmosphere
And the perfect fiesta was born! For favors, I gave out my hubby's favorite Mexican hot sauce & hot tamales. Everyone brought their favorite Mexican dish & my hubby made his famous salsa & ceviche! It was a wonderful night with our friends & neighbors!

Sparkler Holder
We are having a few friends over for a pre-father's day fiesta for a "grown up" night of margaritas & fun! I am making sparkler holders for the pinata (that's right, a pinata for adults) & started playing around on the computer & came up with this. More fiesta ideas to soon follow...
