My clients have a gorgeous stone fireplace in their family room. We just installed a beautiful, warm wood cabinet to the left of the fireplace (see previous post) and I wanted to tie the cabinet into the space. We added a piece of alder molding onto the fireplace to pull over a little warmth, color and texture. We are also adding paneling to the hearth and wall above the mantel to tie the two spaces together!
