Glow in the dark pop sticks

I wanted a fun way to display my marshmallow pops at our friends Halloween party this weekend. The party is outside & it's fairly dark & I wanted to make my pops glow! I took a pack of paper straws, closed off one end, inserted a glow bracelet & placed the closed end into the marshmallow.

They turned out great! I haven't quite figured out how to take a good photo of them GLOWING but you get the idea! These glow pop sticks are for display only. I will be removing the glow sticks before serving-we don't want someone biting into it!

Set up the bar with your favorite adult beverages, glass & bar ware. Add a few glittered pumpkins & crystal spiders for sparkle. String cobwebs throughout the entire bar. Light candles & let the fun begin!

Nail head trim

I love details in design. One of my favorite design details to add to furniture are decorative nail heads. I like to play with patterns, add a row along the outside of chairs, outline the curve of a sofa or headboard. Are you a fan of nail heads?

Candy Corn Treat Boxes

Did you see my guest post on Maddycakes Muse today? I made these cute treat boxes for her candy corn week!

If you want to make your own, start with a paper mache pumpkin boxes. Paint the entire box orange. After the paint completely dries, take blue painters tape and tape off the top section. Paint the top section white, add coarse glitter and remove tape.

After the white section dries tape off the middle section and paint it yellow and sprinkle with glitter.

Repeat process to the bottom layer with the orange paint and glitter. Fill with Halloween candy and give to your favorite ghosts and goblins! Enjoy!

*Note~do not spray paint the inside of the paper mache pumpkin box for it will make it not food safe. If you do spray paint the inside make sure to only put wrapped candy inside.
