Smart Cookie Bar
Yesterday my oldest graduated from junior high (sigh) & we had a small open house after the ceremony for family & friends. The graduate asked for cookies instead of the customary cake & requested four of his favorites. It was perfect, guests could help themselves anytime they wanted. It was also great for favors-guests could take home a small bag of their favorites. He is definitely one smart cookie!

Chocolate Covered Pretzel Cigars
Remember those custom cigar labels I posted yesterday? Here is the finished product-chocolate covered pretzel rod cigars! They are the perfect addition to the Havana nights birthday party this weekend! I love how we displayed them in a cigar box-it makes them look so much like real cigars! They were so easy to make: simply dip the pretzel rods in dark chocolate, let them cool & harden & wrap the labels around the rod. (I found it easier to make the labels first and them wrap them around the pretzel.
Wouldn't this make a great Father's Day treat/present? And they are so much sweeter than the real thing!

Custom Cigar Labels
I am working on a 40th birthday bash for our friend this week & we chose a "Havana Nights" theme for the birthday boy. We've rented gaming tables for the Havana casino, working on a Mojito bar, cigar lounge & serving yummy Cuban food. I am working on a few personal touches & the first is this custom cigar label.
Can you guess what they're for?

Bridal party tees
I am working on some cute tshirts for the bridal party for my little sisters wedding. Amanda (my little sis) wants shirts for all the girls the day of the wedding to wear while we are getting ready. What she doesn't want is the rhinestone BRIDESMAID shirts we see everywhere. Since her name is Amanda, I came up with the A Team as our logo (yes, its a nod to the A-Team TV show from the 1980's)& she loves it. Her colors are a light pink, black and white so I wanted to incorporate the color into the design. This is where I need your help. Which design do you like?
Or these?
I would love your opinions/comments! Let me hear from ya!

Bridal Shower Dessert Table
My little sister was in from New York this week & we had a weekend of fun activities for the bride to be. On Saturday, they had a wonderful bridal shower luncheon & they asked me if I would do a dessert table.
My girlfriend Missy (who is a wonderful baker) made the gorgeous cake & the adorable wedding cake cookies
We also had white chocolate covered pretzels and marshmallows & Oreo cakepops
I am in love with the wedding cake cookies-they were so adorable!
Such an amazing weekend & I can't wait for the wedding in September!

The Cutest Ice Cream Party Favor
Are these not the cutest? I LOVE these ice cream truck favor boxes from Linnette of Paper Glitter. I am seriously considering throwing an end of the year ice cream party just so I can order them (I know, I'm seriously crazy?!
If you order soon, you can choose two colors (I would choose the pink & white) for the price of one. I would fill them with cute gumballs so they look like little scoops of ice cream. I know it's just too stinkin' adorable.
You can find out all the info on Paper Glitter here.

Chocolate Chip Cookie Day
Did you know today is National Chocolate Chip Cookie Day? In honor of the holiday, I am making a batch of my family's favorite cookie but with a small twist-vanilla pudding. Have you ever tried it? My girlfriend brought over a batch this weekend & they were seriously delicious! How I have I never heard of this?
Here is the recipe she gave me from Two Peas & Their Pod

Fiesta Bunco
Oops I did it again. I ran out of time & did not get great shots of the party but I managed to shoot a few pics with my iphone. I set up a taco & nacho bar which the girls LOVED! Seriously they raved & it was not hard to do!
I wrote "how to make the perfect taco" assembly instructions with chalkboard pens & listed all of the yummy toppings
they loved the presentation & all the details
I set up a "mix your own margarita bar" so the girls could mix up their own
& make them any flavor they liked.
Here is a quick party shot from my stairs! Don't you love the papel picado?
It was another fun Bunco night! The girls all wore their flowers & enjoyed my yummy margarita cupcakes & mexican wedding cookies. I love having the girls over!

Fiesta Fiesta Fiesta
After my wonderful weekend in San Francisco, I am now back in full work & party planning mode. I have four parties this month alone with the first being my Bunco Fiesta this week. I started setting out the bar and got out my mason jar glasses, added chalkboard tags & my fiesta flower straws.
I also finished all my flower clips for my lovely senoritas...so much more to do.
Motivational Inspiration
My sweet friend Heather found this quote & I love the message. Don't wait, no more excuses, make your home your own & enjoy every moment in it. Your home is a reflection of you & all who live in it.

San Francisco
Sorry for the lack of posts this week but we are in my favorite city in the world. We are having a lovely breakfast at our hotel, The Palace, this morning (isn't it gorgeous?) & then we are heading down for a little shopping at the Ferry Building. I adore everything about this city-I seriously think I could live here.
