Fall Party for Kids

I was looking for ideas for my 2nd graders class Fall party & found some cute ideas from Parents & Family Fun Magazines that you can incorporate into your Thanksgiving celebrations!

I am still looking for cute & fun Thanksgiving craft projects ideas the kids to make during the party. If anyone has any ideas, I would love to see them!

I was the mom in charge of my daughter's class Thanksgiving party last year. We made "sit-upons"(idea from the Daring Book for girls) out of buffalo skins(brown grocery bags) the kids decorated the bags with Indian writing, stuffed them with plastic bags then laced the edges with jute (I punched the holes ahead of time). We took our feast outside on bamboo trays and sat around hay bales made into a table on our sit-upons. We also played turkeys on the run from BHG site. It was a great game and burned off lots of energy- I made turkey tails from paper and clothes pinned them on their shirt tales- You start with one fox who steals tales when the turkeys run. When you loose your tail you become a fox until only one turkey is left. Tons of fun! I found another idea for a popcorn relay- each team has to pick up the pieces with their toes-I think kids would love the challenge. I love all the ideas you share. I wanted to return the favor.

Andrea-Thank you for all great ideas! Love the buffalo seats (we are making teepee cupcakes so that is perfect) and the fun game ideas!
