Christmas Card display box

I love having our Christmas cards out for everyone to enjoy during the holidays. This year instead of adding the cards to our stair garland, I am displaying them in this weathered wood star box on our coffee table.  My boys love going through the cards & so do I.  How do you display your holiday cards?

12 days of Christmas gift exchange

For the past few years my girlfriends and I have a 12 days of Christmas gift exchange.  I had so much fun this year putting together these fun gifts for my sweet friend.

Below are all my surprise gifts from my friend! I can't wait to open my first one tomorrow!

Merry Kissmas

Every year I like to do a little something for my girlfriends.  Last year it was personalized stationery from Designher Gals, the year before that, nail polish for their mistletoes, etc.  This year I made these cute lipgloss ornaments.

I purchased a large plastic ornament, filled it with Babylips lip gloss & pom poms, tied a little ribbon on the top & added "Merry Kissmas" in glitter stickers.   For those of you who have a Silhouette, you could add Merry Kissmas in vinyl but sadly, I do not. This was my best alternative & I love the way it turned out!

I made a more glamourous style for my Bunco girls & I will post that tomorrow! What gifts are you making for the holidays?

Christmas mantel

I'm changing things up this Christmas! I'm opting for a more simple display over my fireplace. I hung up this cute Santa that was in my front door wreath last year with a simple ho ho ho banner I made in less than 30 minutes with left over scrapbook paper. Cute & simple.

Mercury glass ornaments

I love the look of vintage mercury class. I found these great ornaments a Pottery Barn which aren't actually antique but are still beautiful just the same. It adds a little sparkle to my front entry until of my fresh greenery comes them.

What's your favorite holiday decoration?

Number tags

Can anyone guess what I'm making these for?

Girlfriend gifts

Every year I like to get a little something for my bunco girls. Since there's a lot of them, I try to keep the cost per gift to a minimum. Last year, I created these cute & fun gifts.  This year, I created & printed custom stationery for each girl from designhergirls.com

I purchased Avery notecards & envelopes from Staples & got started creating each girl.  For wrapping, I placed them in clear cellophane bags & tied a simple ribbon to close.

They are all packaged up & ready to go! And for less than $2.50 each! What do you think?  I can't wait to give them to the girls at the Christmas bunco tonight!

Soda Crate Advent Calendar

I adore vintage soda crates & have picked up a few along the way.  Until recently, it never occurred to me that there are 24 spaces in the crate.  So when my BFF asked me to make her an advent calendar for Christmas, I knew exactly what I wanted to do!

I picked up these mini galvanized buckets from Michaels in their DIY wedding favors sections.  I added these bingo numbers with glue dots to the buckets & viola, project was complete!

What type of advent calendars do you have in your home?

Christmas Dinner Table

Last night was the start of our Christmas celebrations. My sweet sister & her new husband are in from NYC & we celebrated with a yummy family dinner cooked by my hubby. Of course, I am in charge of table setting & I snapped a quick pic with my IPhone before everyone sat down. We are casual entertainers-we like everyone to be comfortable & cozy so we piled everyone around the kitchen table. I love how the holidays brings everyone together-life is just how it should be.

For your mistle"toes"

For my Bunco group, I wanted to give each girl a little something for the holidays at our Christmas Bunco. I gave all the girls Peppermint & Chocolate dipped Oreos last year & I didn't want to repeat a gift. I started looking on Pinterest & found the cutest gift idea from Supreme Courtney! She gave nail polish with a tag that read "for your mistletoes" & I knew that's what I wanted to recreate! I found these cute mini galvanized buckets & wrapped a simple ribbon around it. I hand wrote a simple tag & wrapped it around the bottle! Easy peasy & in no time at all, 16 gifts for 16 great girls!
