Flag Drinks

I am still in love with this cute drink idea I created for the 4th of July last year.  I made mini margaritas with Adult Limeade & arranged them like the USA flag.

For the blue margs, I blended AL, blue curaçao & ice.  Top with white candy stars. For the red, blend puréed strawberries, AL & ice.  For the ice, blend AL & ice. To serve, mix everything ahead & store directly in your freezer.  Come party time it will be ready to go.

You could also make a NA version with fruit ices or even easier, buy red, white & blue slurpees from your local convenience store.

Championship Cocktails

I have been seeing these cute football jars all over Pinterest & knew the perfect colored football drink: Adult Chocolate Milk! For the football jars, I added the "threads" with white duct tape.  I poured chilled ACM over ice & added a referee striped straw. Touchdown baby!

SuperBowl Cocktails

Is anyone excited for the Super Bowl this weekend?  I wanted to come up with any easy cocktail idea in Seattle team colors. I started with my fave Adult Limeade & added a generous splash of Midori for the green & a splash of Blue Curaçao for the Seahawk blue.  Super easy & SO delicious!  Go Seahawks!

I am having WAY too much FUN this week creating & styling Halloween cocktails for the Adult Beverage Company!  First up, the Jack O' Rita!

2-3 oz of freshly squeezed clementine or orange juice

Blue Sky Margaritas

Are any of you as obsessed with Breaking Bad as we are? With the season finale next weekend, I wanted to celebrate with a special cocktail in tribute to the show. ( For those of you who don't watch, the main character who is a chemist, creates a product called Blue Sky).

To mix up your own Blue Sky, start with one my faves, Adult Limeade. Pour 6 oz of AL into an ice filled cocktail shaker and add 1 oz of Blue Curaçao.  Shake it well and pour into chemist glasses to serve.   For more fun, you can even add a small piece of dry ice for cool effect.  In the words of Jesse Pinkman, "It may be blue, but it's the bomb."

So slip on your haz mat suit, invite some friends over, mix up a round of Blue Skies & enjoy the show.

Man-a-Rita

I had so much fun mixing & styling this Fathers Day cocktail for Adult Limeade! I mixed equal parts of Adult Limeade & Corona into an ice filled cocktail shaker & poured into a salt rimmed glass.  My hubby was the official taste tester (one of his favorite jobs) & he loves it!  It is 100% Dad approved!

Strawberry Mint Limeade

I wanted to make a cool and refreshing drink this holiday weekend soooo I sliced up some fresh strawberries and mint, added a little simple syrup & filled with Adult Limeade. I set our cocktails in the fridge for about 30 minutes & filled with ice to serve. It was the perfect ending to our weekend!

Cherry Pomegranate Margaritas

One of my favorite ways to make margaritas is in my ice cream maker. I can make them ahead of time before my guests arrive & it makes for any easy service. I made these yummy cherry pom margs with 1/2 cup cherry juice, 1/2 cup pomegranate juice, 2 cups limeade & 1 cup Adult Limeade. I also added a few ounces of simple syrup to sweeten. I poured it into the ice cream maker & 20 minutes later I had delicious frozen goodness! I store them in Tupperware in the freezer until I'm ready to serve! Happy Cinco de Mayo!

Halloween Cocktail Bar

Are you throwing a Halloween party? Here's a chic & easy cocktail bar idea I styled for the Adult Beverage Company. Place a candelabra in the center of your bar table. Set up the bar with your favorite adult beverages, glass & bar ware. Add a few glittered pumpkins & crystal spiders for sparkle. String cobwebs throughout the entire bar. Light candles & let the fun begin!

Chocolate & Caramel Apple Milkshake

I'm ready for fall. Unfortunately the weather in Arizona is not cooperating. To beat the heat, I thought I would make a yummy frozen dessert cocktail for my girlfriends & thought of one of my favorite fall treats, Caramel apples. How can I possibly make caramel apples better? By adding a chocolate and caramel milkshake made with Adult Chocolate Milk of course! I simply blended ACM with vanilla & caramel ice cream from Haagen Dazs. O.M.G. It is heavenly. And the best part, you can eat the cup when you're done!

Lucky Limeade Pops

For St. Patty's Day, I wanted to create an adult version of those yummy frozen pops we all loved as children. I knew I wanted to use Adult Limeade as the base because ONE: it's super delicious and TWO: it's green! Adult Limeade is made with 100% agave reposado tequila, sweet agave nectar and all natural tart lime flavor ( basically, one of the best margaritas you ever had)!

To make my Lucky Limeade Pops, I simply mixed equal portions of Adult Limeade and Minute Maid Limeade. I poured them into plastic bags & placed them upright in a container & froze them overnight.

I also made Midori Limeade pops which are the darker green pops pictured. I followed the same recipe but added a shot of Midori. To serve, you can simply eat them as you would a regular ice pop or insert a straw to sip on the icy goodness. To make it even cuter, add these free St. Patty's Day printables from Tom Kat Studio.

My next Limeade flavors I want to try are Pomegranate Limeade & Cherry Limeade! I will let you know how they turn out!

Ornamental Cocktails

Instead of serving your cocktails in an ordinary glass, why not serve them in Christmas ornaments for a festive touch?

I started with clear, plastic empty ornaments I found at Michaels. I washed the ornaments & filled them with chilled Adult Chocolate Milk (which is a rich, creamy, ADULT version of chocolate milk). You can also make blend ACM with vanilla ice cream for another sweet treat. Cute, easy & a fun way to get your party started!

Adult Chocolate Milk Mini Shakes

Have you had the chance to try Adult Chocolate Milk?  Nikki, (who just happens to be one of my favorite clients) co-founded ACM & of course, I had to try it! It is a super, yummy, chocolate,  creamy adult version of our childhood favorite drink ( just minus the chocolate mustache! ).

It is 40 proof, which is a little strong, so I created mini milkshakes!

I blended 2 parts vanilla ice cream to 1 part Adult Chocolate Milk, poured them into shot glasses & VOILA!  The perfect mini cocktail shake!  Your girlfriends will love them!
