Easy Dessert Idea

One of my favorite last minute desserts ideas are mini ice cream cones.  I keep a few packages in the freezer for those impromptu get togethers!  They are easy, yummy & oh so adorable!



I set up shot glasses filled with candy or mini marshmallows, set them on plates & put them to the side.  When it is time to serve dessert, I place a cone in each glass & we are good to go.
 

I buy my minis at Trader Joe's.  You get 8 mini cones, in chocolate or vanilla ice cream for $2.99.  What a deal! Depending on the crowd, I usually plan on 2-3 cones per person.

A Peppermint Christmas

I have a confession to make, I am seriously addicted to peppermint bark (okay, let's be honest, pretty much anything with peppermint & chocolate). I am relatively certain that I have eaten my weight this season in peppermint goodness (I am considering investing in a pair of elastic waistband jeans to get me through the season if that tells you anything). Officially, we have declared peppermint bark a condiment in our house and sprinkle it on ice cream, cookies, brownies, milkshakes, & cupcakes. So today, for my love of peppermint deliciousness (is that even a word?), I am sharing some yummy ideas with you for the holidays.

Not Your Average S'mores

It is finally cold enough that we can use our fireplace & you know what that means, it is S'MORE time at our house! I found a few FUN recipes ideas from Sunset Magazine that I thought we would try! I am thinking of having a s'mores dessert bar at our next party!
