A Pink & Purple Thanksgiving

I am LOVING this Thanksgiving tablescape by Eddie Ross. I am SO "borrowing" his centerpiece of white pumpkins, cranberries, & walnuts AND the cranberry candle votives.

Backyard Pizza Bash

After seeing this backyard party feature from Better Homes & Gardens, it reminded me of our friends Tina & Larry who host the most amazing pizza parties! They have a wood fired pizza oven in their backyard and will make at least a dozen speciality pizzas. Everything is home made & fresh & super DELICIOUS! I love how BHG used the garlic heads for votives and all the fresh veggies as part of their table scape! Perfect setting for a perfect evening with friends!

Happy 4th Tablescape

When setting our table, I try to use things around the house we already have. For the Fourth of July, this is what I came up with.
I LOVE these small buckets! Perfect for keeping beverages cold!

Full view of table

Soda bucket for the kids-love the sparkler straws!

Red vines for napkin rings

Love the bandanna napkins and patriotic pins the boys can wear

Kids table view
Astro pops...mmmmmm

Happy 4th! Enjoy the weekend with your family and friends!

Celebrate Cinco de Mayo

Crisp Chicken Tacos (Tacos de Pollo) Recipes from Sunset Magazine
Garlicky Shrimp-Cilantro Tacos (Tacos de Camarones al Mojo de Ajo)

Roasted Beet Salad with Oranges and Queso Fresco (Ensalada de Betabel)

Hang some Mexican paper cutout banners
Set a festive table (In Style Magazine)

Tablescape from Social Couture

Why not invite friends over this weekend for a little fiesta! Create your own taco bar with your favorite homemade spicy salsa. Serve margaritas and Mexican beer (of course) and play your favorite Latin music (my Dad loves Carlos Santana). For the kids, get a small pinata & fill it full with candy and small toys! Light candles in paper luminarias, sit outside & enjoy your friends & family!

Too Early for Summer?

Since the high here today will be 98 degrees, I am already feeling like it's summer. We barbecued this weekend, the kids ran around in the sprinklers and ate popsicles. Today's post for summer tablescapes from Country Living was inspired by our great weekend enjoying our early summer.
