For the holidays, I like to add little Christmas touches throughout our home. Yesterday, I switched out our everyday plates for our Christmas place settings which we enjoy using every day. This morning, I tied miniature wreaths on our kitchen chair backs for a simple & easy decoration. What is your favorite way to dress up your chairs for the season?

Planes, Trains, & Automobiles
Every Thanksgiving, we have the tradition of watching Planes, Trains, & Automobiles. For those who haven't seen the movie, it is a hilarious, heart warming journey of two travelers trying to get home for Thanksgiving. After the kids are asleep, my hubby & I curl up on the sofa, & laugh & cry throughout the movie-it is always one of my favorite times of the holiday weekend.

Thanksgiving in Silhouette
If I was hosting Thanksgiving at my house this year (it is still my Mom's tradition), I would create a tablecloth with silhouettes of all my family members gathered around the table (somewhat similar to Martha's creation below except in black and white). Or perhaps I would have cookies or silhouette tags as place cards, black and white silhouette china, and throw some pillows (my pug Coco would look incredible) around for good measure. Maybe next year........

Turkey Craft
Check out this cute Turkey craft from Paper Source for your little ones on Thanksgiving. For older kids, they can write down what they are thankful for and place inside their turkey bag.

Cranberry Christmas
I love fresh cranberries this time of year! My Aunt Susan happens to make the BEST cranberry sauce every year for Thanksgiving (lucky me)with orange zest, cloves, & cinnamon. However, my favorite way is to use cranberries during the holidays for decoration.

A Pink & Purple Thanksgiving
I am LOVING this Thanksgiving tablescape by Eddie Ross. I am SO "borrowing" his centerpiece of white pumpkins, cranberries, & walnuts AND the cranberry candle votives.
